（《薩婆多》云：「若前所諫者，有六種人：一、心有愛憎，二、鈍根無智，三、若少聞見，四、為利養名聞，五、為現法樂，但欲自攝，六、若新出家，愛戀妻子。如是六人，諫則有損，若發教諫，出言無補，應反語言：『但自觀身善不善行，亦不觀他作以不作。』若反上六者，則應展轉相諫。」）

(The Sarvāstivāda says: "As for those who are remonstrated with, there are six kinds of persons: first, their mind has love or hate; second, dull-rooted and lacking wisdom; third, of little hearing and sight; fourth, for the sake of material gain and renown; fifth, for the sake of present pleasure, only wishing to maintain oneself; sixth, newly renounced, attached to wife and children. For these six kinds of persons, remonstrating results in harm; if one delivers instruction and remonstrance, speaking words brings no benefit, and one should reply with the words: 'Simply observe the good and bad deeds of your own body, and do not observe what others do or do not do.' If someone is the opposite of the above six, one should remonstrate with one another in turn.")
