大德僧聽！某處比丘尼僧和合，差比丘尼某甲，禮比丘僧足，求索教誡。（三說。上座應更問云：）誰為教誡比丘尼？（若有者，應差。教誡者多，應遣信語比丘尼僧「此多有教誡人，汝為請誰？」若彼尼言「我請此人」。依彼請差。若復報言：「我隨僧處分」者，僧應隨常教誡比丘尼次第差。佛言：「若有比丘成就十法者：一、戒律具足，二、多聞，三、誦二部戒利，四、決斷無疑，五、善能說法，六、族姓出家，七、顏貌端正，比丘尼眾見便歡喜，八、堪任與比丘尼眾說法，勸令歡喜，九、不為佛出家而披法服犯重法，十、若滿二十歲，若過二十歲者；應差教授比丘尼。」應如是差。）

"May the venerable saṃgha listen! The harmonious bhikṣuṇī-saṃgha of such a place has appointed the bhikṣuṇī [name] to pay homage at the feet of the bhikṣu-saṃgha and request admonition." (To be said three times. The senior elder should further ask:) "Who will admonish the bhikṣuṇīs?" (If there is someone, he should be appointed. If there are many who can admonish, a messenger should be sent to tell the bhikṣuṇī-saṃgha: "Here are many who can admonish; whom do you invite?" If those nuns say, "We invite this person," he is appointed according to their request. If they reply, "We abide by the saṃgha's decision," the saṃgha should appoint according to the regular turn for admonishing the bhikṣuṇīs. The Buddha said: "If there is a bhikṣu who possesses ten qualities: 1. complete in the precepts; 2. of wide learning; 3. fluent in reciting the two codes of precepts; 4. decisive and without doubt; 5. skilled in preaching the Dharma; 6. gone forth from a good family; 7. possessing handsome features, so that the bhikṣuṇī-saṃgha is pleased upon seeing him; 8. competent to teach the Dharma to the bhikṣuṇī-saṃgha and inspire them with joy; 9. not having committed a grave offense while wearing the Dharma robes having gone forth for the Buddha's sake; 10. having completed twenty years or more of standing—he should be appointed to instruct the bhikṣuṇīs." He should be appointed in this way.)
