大德僧聽！此處同一住處，同一說戒，僧今結不失衣界。誰諸長老忍僧於此處同一住處，同一說戒，結不失衣界者默然，誰不忍者說。僧已忍此處同一住處，同一說戒，結不失衣界竟。僧忍，默然故，是事如是持。（時諸比丘脫衣置白衣舍，當著脫時形露。佛言：「聽結不失衣界，除村、村外界。」結法如上，唯加一句云：除村、村外界。白如是。）

"May the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! This place has a common residence and common poṣadha; the saṃgha now demarcates a sīmā for non-separation from robes. Whichever āyuṣmats approve that the saṃgha demarcate a sīmā for non-separation from robes for this place of common residence and common poṣadha, let them remain silent; whoever does not approve, let him speak. The saṃgha has approved demarcating a sīmā for non-separation from robes for this place of common residence and common poṣadha. The saṃgha approves, because of the silence. Thus do I hold this matter." (At that time, bhikṣus took off their robes and left them in laypersons' houses, and when putting them on or taking them off, their bodies were exposed. The Buddha said: "I allow you to demarcate a sīmā for non-separation from robes, excluding villages and the boundary outside villages."
