大德僧聽！我某甲外道，從僧乞四月共住。願僧慈愍故，與我四月共住。（三說）（安著眼見耳不聞處，僧應作如是法。）

"May the venerable saṃgha listen! I, the non-Buddhist named so-and-so, request from the saṃgha four months of co-residence. May the saṃgha, out of compassion, grant me four months of co-residence." (Spoken three times.) (Placing him where he can be seen with eyes but not heard by ears, the saṃgha should perform the karman like this:)
