大德僧聽！某甲比丘，犯某偷蘭遮罪，今從僧乞懺悔。若僧時到，僧忍聽，我受某甲比丘懺悔。白如是。（作是白已，始應答云：）可爾。

"Let the saṃgha, venerable sirs, listen! The bhikṣu [so-and-so] has committed [such-and-such] sthūlātyaya offense, and now requests confession from the saṃgha. If the saṃgha's time has arrived, and the saṃgha approves and permits it, I will receive the confession of the bhikṣu [so-and-so]. Such is the motion." (Having made this motion, only then should he reply saying:) "It is permitted."
