與摩那埵本日治法（彼比丘行摩那埵時，中間更犯。佛言：「聽僧與彼作摩那埵本日治白四羯磨。」按文但言更犯，不論覆不，直與本日治法，即是舊新別明。今約重犯不覆者，舊新合說。彼至僧中，具儀作如是乞。）

The Procedure for Granting Mānatva-mūlāpakarṣaṇa
(When that bhikṣu was practicing mānatva, he committed an offense again midway. The Buddha said: "I allow the saṃgha to perform for him the jñapticaturtha-karman of mānatva-mūlāpakarṣaṇa." According to the text, it only says 'committed again' without discussing whether it was concealed or not, directly granting the procedure of mūlāpakarṣaṇa; that is, the former and new are explained separately. Here, taking it as a repeated offense that was not concealed, the former and new are stated together. He goes before the saṃgha, completes the proper etiquette, and begs in this manner:)
