3.86

大德僧聽！我某甲比丘，自乞作屋，無主，自為己，我今從僧乞處分無難、無妨處。（三說。僧應觀察此比丘為可信不？若可信者，即當聽作；若不可信者，一切僧應到彼看。若僧不去，遣僧中可信者看。若彼處有難、有妨處，不應與處分。若無難、有妨處，有難、無妨處，亦不應與處分。若無難、無妨處，應與處分。作如是與：）

"May the venerable saṃgha listen! I, bhikṣu [so-and-so], myself request to build a hut, without a donor, for myself alone; I now request from the saṃgha a determination of a site free from hazards and obstructions." (Three times. The saṃgha should examine whether this bhikṣu is trustworthy or not. If trustworthy, they should immediately permit him to build it; if untrustworthy, the whole saṃgha should go there to inspect it. If the saṃgha does not go, it should depute trustworthy persons from the saṃgha to inspect it. If that place has hazards and obstructions, they should not grant him the site determination. If it is free from hazards but has obstructions, or has hazards but is free from obstructions, they also should not grant him the site determination. If it is free from hazards and free from obstructions, they should grant him the site determination. They grant it thus:)
