2.111

"Venerable sir, keep your mind focused on me! I, the bhikṣu [so-and-so], have committed [such-and-such] sthūlātyaya offense, and now confess to the venerable sir, not daring to conceal it. Confessing brings peace and happiness, while not confessing brings no peace and happiness. Recalling the offense, I disclose it; knowing it, I do not conceal it. May the venerable sir remember me as pure, endowed with the body of precepts, and pure for poṣadha." (Repeated thus up to three times. The master of confession says:) "Reproach your own mind; you should give rise to revulsion." (The confessor replies:) "It is so."
