3.113

'Let the bhadanta mindfully focus! I, bhikṣu so-and-so, have already accepted the invitation of so-and-so. Now, having such business, I am entering such a village to go to the household of so-and-so; I announce it to the bhadanta to make it known.' (During illness, during robe-making, and during robe-distribution, it is open to not make entrustment. If after making entrustment one wishes to proceed to the destination but turns back midway; or fails to reach the entrusted place and instead goes to another household, or even a storehouse, a room on the village outskirts, or a bhikṣuṇī monastery; or having reached the entrusted lay household comes back out—in such cases, the previous entrustment is lost, and if one wishes to go, one must entrust anew.)
