3.38

The procedure for abandoning instruction of bhikṣuṇīs (At that time, the group-of-six bhikṣuṇīs, śrāmaṇerīs, and śikṣamāṇās came into the monastery, resided together with the bhikṣus and śrāmaṇeras, bantered with one another, chanted verses together, wept together, or played and laughed together, disturbing the meditating bhikṣus. The Buddha said: "They should be called and rebuked. If they do not reform, one should perform a karman of abandoning instruction for the upādhyāyas and ācāryas of the śrāmaṇerīs.")
