"The saṃgha has now overturned the bowl toward you, having no mutual intercourse [with you]." (If he does not understand, it should be explained to him in detail. If that person says: "What means can be taken to lift the overturning of my bowl and restore mutual intercourse?" that envoy should say to him: "You should go and repent to the saṃgha. If he repents, complies with the saṃgha, dares not disobey, and begs the saṃgha to lift the overturning of the bowl and restore mutual intercourse, the saṃgha should lift it for him."
