汝諦聽！今是真誠時，實語時，我今問汝，有當言有，無當言無。汝不犯邊罪不？汝不犯比丘不？汝非賊心作道不？汝非破內外道不？汝非黃門不？汝非殺父不？汝非殺母不？汝非殺阿羅漢不？汝非破和合僧不？汝不惡心出佛身血不？汝非是非人不？汝非畜生不？汝非有二形不？汝字何等？和尚尼字誰？汝年歲滿不？衣鉢具不？父母（夫主）聽汝不？汝非負人債不？汝非婢不？汝是女人不？女人有如是諸病：癩、白癩、癰疽、乾痟、癲狂、二道合、道小、大小便常漏、洟唾常出。汝有如是諸病不？（隨事答無，復應問云：）汝學戒未？（即應答言：）已學戒。（復應問云：）汝清淨不？（復應答云：）清淨。（復應問餘尼云：）某甲已學戒未？（餘尼答云：）已學戒。（復更問云：）清淨不？（復重答云：）清淨。

"Listen attentively! Now is the time of sincerity, the time of true words. I will now ask you: what is present, say is present; what is not present, say is not present. Have you not committed an antima-vatthu? Have you not violated a bhikṣu? Have you not entered the path with a thieving intent? Have you not disrupted the inner and outer paths? Are you not a paṇḍaka? Have you not killed your father? Have you not killed your mother? Have you not killed an arhat? Have you not disrupted the harmonious saṃgha? Have you not with an evil mind shed the blood of the Buddha's body? Are you not a non-human? Are you not an animal? Do you not have two sexes? What is your name? What is your upādhyāyikā's name? Are you of full age? Are your robes and bowl complete? Do your parents (or husband) permit you? Are you not in debt to anyone? Are you not a slave? Are you a woman? Women have such illnesses: leprosy, white leprosy, boils and ulcers, consumption, madness, union of the two passages, smallness of the passage, constant leaking of faeces and urine, constant running of nasal mucus and saliva. Do you have such illnesses?" (Having answered "No" in turn according to each matter, he should again ask:) "Have you trained in the precepts?" (She should immediately answer:) "I have trained in the precepts." (He should again ask:) "Are you pure?" (She should again answer:) "I am pure." (He should again ask the other nuns:) "Has so-and-so trained in the precepts?" (The other nuns answer:) "She has trained in the precepts." (He asks again:) "Is she pure?" (They answer again:) "She is pure."
