「復有三學：增戒學、增心學、增慧學。何等增戒學？若比丘具足持波羅提木叉戒，成就威儀，畏慎輕戒重若金剛，等學諸戒，是為增戒學。何等增心學？若比丘能捨欲惡，乃至得入第四禪，是為增心學。何等增慧學？若比丘如實知苦諦，知集、盡、道，是為增慧學。」（慶聞修奉等同前。）

"Furthermore, there are three trainings: the higher training in śīla, the higher training in mind, and the higher training in wisdom. What is the higher training in śīla? If a bhikṣu fully upholds the prātimokṣa precepts, accomplishes deportment, regards light precepts with dread and awe as weighty as a vajra, and trains equally in all precepts—this is the higher training in śīla. What is the higher training in mind? If a bhikṣu is able to abandon desires and evil, up to entering the fourth dhyāna—this is the higher training in mind. What is the higher training in wisdom? If a bhikṣu knows in accordance with reality the truth of suffering, knows origin, cessation, and the path—this is the higher training in wisdom." (Rejoicing, hearing, cultivating, and upholding are the same as before.)
