"Ayye! Do not instruct the other bhikṣuṇīs, saying: 'Do not live apart; you should live together. I also see other bhikṣuṇīs closely associating, committing evil deeds together, spreading bad reputations, and concealing each other's offences. The saṃgha, out of anger, instructs you to live apart.' At present, there are only these two bhikṣuṇīs and no others who closely associate, commit evil deeds together, spread bad reputations, and conceal each other's offences. If these bhikṣuṇīs live apart, there will be increase and blissful abiding in the Buddha's Dharma. You may now abandon this matter; do not be rebuked by the saṃgha and thereby commit further grave offences." (If they comply with the words, it is well; if they do not comply with the words, it is spoken up to three times as above. The substantial procedure of the jñapticaturtha-karman is also clarified as in the Vinaya.)
