Seventh, explaining the text of the large version of the Brahmajāla Sūtra according to matters and following the text. That passage of explanation for that single chapter of the large version of the Brahmajāla Sūtra is merely the main discourse. Now it is conceptually divided into three sections: from the beginning of the verses up to 'the pure ones' in the prose constitutes the preface; next, from 'the Buddha told' down to 'all present bodhisattvas now recite' constitutes the main discourse; from here to the end of the fascicle is the third, exhorting explanation and dissemination.
