二、來意者，前則於怨起酬，今則於德不敬。又前於怨境增自惑業，今於有德慢失法益故也。

Second, the rationale for its placement: previously one gave rise to revenge against enmities; now one shows no respect toward virtue. Furthermore, previously facing an adversarial object one increased one's own delusion and karma; now facing the virtuous, through arrogance one loses the benefit of the Dharma; hence the sequence.
