二、次第者，前雖離慢懃學，而或心墮二乘，故次制令專習大乘也。

Second, regarding the sequence: previously, although one abandoned pride and diligently studied, one's mind might still fall into the two vehicles; therefore, next it is established to make one practice the Mahāyāna exclusively.
