七、通塞者，若對國王，若純信行人，若將為進戒，先說示問能不，皆不犯。反上，失。

Seventh, on permissible and impermissible cases: if facing a king, or practitioners of pure faith, or if about to advance their precepts by first explaining and asking whether they are able or not, in all these cases there is no offense. The reverse of the above is a failing.
