五、闕緣者，於三中隨闕一種，悉重方便。又雙闕後二，或雙闕初後，皆輕方便。或雙闕初二，或甚輕，或無罪，並可知。

Fifth, lack of conditions: If any one of the three is lacking, all are major preparatory offenses. Moreover, if both of the latter two are lacking, or both the first and last are lacking, all are minor preparatory offenses. Or if both of the first two are lacking, it is either extremely minor or without offense; all can be known.
