五、闕緣。初二戒中，闕初二緣，各不犯；闕後二緣，得方便罪。於後三戒中，四緣內隨闕一緣，皆得方便罪。準釋可知。

Fifth, lacking conditions: among the first two precepts, lacking the first two conditions results in no offense in each case; lacking the latter two conditions results in a preparatory offense. Among the latter three precepts, lacking any one of the four conditions results in a preparatory offense. This can be understood according to the explanation.
