Ninth, scope of exception: if without slanderous intention one speaks hurriedly for the sake of subduing sentient beings, there should be no offense. All others permit no exception, as can be known. If it concerns esoteric speech refuting characteristics, there is no need to explain the rationale, so long as it is understood that one must not cause others to doubt.
