「我今盧舍那」者，此是誰言？即千釋迦中一釋迦言，指自本身，故云為「我」。時非曾當，正在「今」也。「方坐」者，猶正坐也。「蓮華臺」者，即蓮華中蓮實所附處也。其量周圍千三千界，此是座量，非國土量。《華嚴》所說蓮華藏世界者，即是所統之世界也。上有十二佛國土、七世界性，九方亦爾，是盧舍那常轉法輪處。

As for "I, now Vairocana": whose words are these? These are the words of one Śākyamuni among the thousand Śākyamunis: pointing to his own root body, he therefore says "I." The time is neither past nor future; it is precisely "now." "Am just seated" is like "am properly seated." The "lotus pedestal" is the place in the lotus where the lotus fruit is attached. Its size has a circumference of a thousand trichiliocosms; this is the measurement of the seat, not the measurement of the realm. The Lotus Treasury World System expounded in the Avataṃsaka is precisely the world system under his governance. Above it are twelve buddha realms and seven natures of worlds, and the same is true for the other nine directions; it is the place where Vairocana constantly turns the wheel of Dharma.
