2.107

佛言：佛子！佛滅度後，於惡世中，若見外道一切惡人劫賊，賣佛菩薩父母形像，及賣經律，販賣比丘、比丘尼，亦賣發菩提心菩薩道人，或為官使，與一切人作奴婢者，而菩薩見是事已，應生慈悲心，方便救護，處處教化，取物贖佛菩薩形像，及比丘、比丘尼、發心菩薩、一切經律。若不贖者，犯輕垢罪。

"The Buddha said: 'Disciples of the Buddha! After the Buddha’s parinirvāṇa, in an evil age, if you see non-Buddhists, any evil persons, robbers, or bandits selling images of the Buddha, bodhisattvas, or parents; or selling the sūtras and vinaya; or trafficking in bhikṣus and bhikṣuṇīs, or also selling practitioners who are bodhisattvas having generated the bodhicitta; or making them official servants or making them slaves to any persons—when the bodhisattva has seen these things, they should generate a mind of compassion and use skillful means to rescue and protect them, teaching and transforming everywhere, taking material wealth to ransom images of the Buddha and bodhisattvas, as well as bhikṣus, bhikṣuṇīs, bodhisattvas who have generated the mind, and all sūtras and vinaya. If one does not ransom them, one commits a duṣkṛta offense.'"
