Hereafter, the third [group of] ten precepts explains the virtues that embrace harmony and reverence. Harmony and reverence are of six kinds: namely, the identity of the three actions (of body, speech, and mind), and identity in precepts, views, and material gain. Among these ten precepts: the first three explain identity of the three actions; the next one explains identity of views; the next four explain identity of material gain; and the last two explain identity of precepts. This is what the Treatise explains under the precepts of embracing good dharmas as "diligently cultivating reverent service toward elders and superiors." Among the first three precepts: the first prohibits anger and failing to patiently endure; the second prohibits arrogance and failing to seek instruction; the third prohibits conceit and failing to instruct and admonish. Each generally prohibits disharmony of the three actions. Alternatively, they may respectively prohibit [disharmony of] body, speech, and mind.
