"Disciples of the Buddha! If, for one's own food and drink, money and property, profit and sustenance, or fame and praise, one associates closely with kings, princes, ministers, and the hundred officials, relying on them to create influence and power, begging, beating, dragging, and illegitimately seizing money and goods—all such seeking of profit is called evil seeking, excessive seeking, and teaching others to seek. Completely lacking a mind of compassion and lacking a mind of filial devotion, they commit a duṣkṛta offense."
