The commentary states: Second, among the ten nurturings, the citation of the question is obvious. Here, in the first, the Mind of Loving-kindness, "having constantly practiced the mind of loving-kindness and produced the cause of happiness" introduces the chapter section. Because loving-kindness bestows happiness, this is unconditioned loving-kindness. When the practice of loving-kindness is accomplished, it is also accompanied by happiness oneself, entering into the dharmas that are the cognitive object; that is, within the great true dharma of the five aggregates, the three marks of the aggregates are empty, like an illusion and like a transformation, non-dual with True Suchness, and so one is capable of realizing the wheel of the dharma of the noble path. From "transforming and covering" downward, this teaches others to produce faith, for it is the gate of great compassion. "Not real" means that with respect to what is benefited, the mind of faith is empty. "Not a result of good or evil" means that with respect to what is pacified and made happy, the fruitional result of happiness is empty. "The samādhi of understanding the essential nature of emptiness" concludes the completion of the practice of loving-kindness.
