The commentary states: The seventh is the mind of beneficial action. "At the time of the mind of benefit" introduces the chapter heading. "The essential nature of real wisdom" is the suchness that is the object of cognition. "Broadly practicing the path of wisdom" is the wisdom that can cognize. "Gathering all Dharma gateways of blazing brightness" is because it gathers the provision of wisdom. "Gathering the seven riches of contemplative practice" is because it gathers the provision of merit. Using these to benefit others, it is said that when the other person obtains benefit, it in turn benefits one's own dharmakāya and wisdom-life; hence it says, "benefits the reception of body and life." "All intentions" refers to the multiplicity of functions, all of which cause others to accomplish practice in sequence. "Dharma lineage" means the practice of the lineage of habituation is accomplished. "Emptiness lineage" means the practice of the lineage of nature is accomplished. "Path lineage" means the practice of the lineage of the path is accomplished. Because all generate the fruit of buddhahood, they are called lineages. Causing others to enter these thirty minds, it next says "obtaining benefit" because of realizing practice on the verge of the stages. "Obtaining the joyful fruit" means obtaining the fruit on the verge of buddhahood. Dwelling physically in the six destinies and suffering hardship willingly—in the concluding intent below, it is because solely benefiting others serves as one's own benefit.
