此中顯了有戒等釋文來意，此說無彼人、法二取故，顯了前說於彼惡世時有持戒等故生、取福德，若迴心無學，我執先無，法執今伏，若餘有學、一切異生有持戒等，云何人、法二執皆無？

"Here, it clarifies those possessing morality and the like" explains the purpose of the text's advent: because it states the absence of those two grasps of persons and phenomena, it clarifies that, as stated before, in that evil age those possessing morality and the like generate and grasp merit. If they are aśaikṣas who have redirected their minds, the grasp of self was previously absent and the grasp of phenomena is now suppressed; but if they are other śaikṣas and all ordinary beings who possess morality and the like, how could both the grasps of persons and phenomena be absent?
