1.41

「經曰歸命一切諸佛菩薩」，前歸敬申造論意請威靈加護，此歸敬集經者欲出佛經亦請威靈加護。一切眾經皆並有於此辭，但隨寄一文，示存略故也。

"The sūtra says: 'Taking refuge in all buddhas and bodhisattvas'": above, taking refuge and veneration expressed the intent of composing the treatise, requesting awe-inspiring spiritual protection; here, taking refuge and veneration is by the compiler of the sūtra, who, wishing to bring forth the Buddha's sūtra, also requests awe-inspiring spiritual protection. All sūtras alike have these words; it is merely placed here in this one text to show brevity.
