1.52

就初，又二句：此法門者，一部之通號也。初第一品者，一章之別稱也。七種皆稱功德者，此之七種皆能顯道利物，故竝云功德。一一章中明義具足無餘，不可破壞，故云成就。

Regarding the first part, there are again two phrases: 'This Dharma-gate' is the general designation for the entire work. 'The initial, first chapter' is the specific title of this single section. That all seven are called 'merit' is because these seven are all able to reveal the path and benefit beings, hence all are termed 'merit'. In each and every section, the elucidated doctrines are complete without remainder and cannot be undermined; hence they are termed 'fulfillment'.
