妙法功德是自德，法師功德是化他德。要前自德，然後化他，故云次說。
The merit of the wondrous Dharma is the virtue for oneself; the merit of a Dharma master is the virtue of transforming others. One must first have the virtue for oneself and only then transform others; hence it says "next is spoken".
