問：何故釋悟而稱不知？答：約二乘人不知令知，故是釋悟。問：上不知同，今示令知同。與今何異？答：上直取同義，今明唯一佛乘真實究竟，故與上為異。

Question: Why is awakening explained by designating "not knowing"? Answer: In relation to persons of the two vehicles not knowing, causing them to know is therefore an explanation of awakening. Question: Above, they did not know the identity, and now it is revealed to cause them to know the identity; how does this differ from the present? Answer: Above, it directly took the meaning of identity; here, it clarifies that the one Buddha vehicle alone is real and ultimate, and therefore it differs from the above.
