如經「舍利弗！過去諸佛以無量無數方便，種種譬喻因緣念觀方便說法，是法皆為一佛乘故」如是等故。
"As the sūtra [says]: 'Śāriputra! The past Buddhas expounded the Dharma by means of immeasurable and countless skillful means, various parables, causes and conditions, mindful observations, and expedients; these Dharmas are all for the sake of the one Buddha vehicle,' and so forth."
