初應有問：佛何故從定起歎智慧甚深無量？故釋言：為諸大眾生尊重心，畢竟欲聞如來說故。
At first, there should be a question: Why did the Buddha arise from samādhi and praise his wisdom as profoundly deep and immeasurable? Therefore it is explained: In order to generate in the great assembly a mind of reverence, and the ultimate wish to hear what the Tathāgata expounds.
