自此已下，釋〈譬喻品〉。初身子領解。此文大意者，上釋〈方便品〉令小乘人悟入一乘得受記。今釋小乘悟入一乘，竟自呵責小乘過失。就文為二：初牒經二偈、次論釋。

From here below explains the "Parable Chapter." First, Śāriputra expresses his understanding. The general meaning of this text is: above, the explanation of the "Skillful Means Chapter" caused practitioners of the Small Vehicle to awaken and enter the ekayāna and receive vyākaraṇa. Now, explaining that the Small Vehicle awakens and enters the ekayāna, he ultimately reproaches himself for the faults of the Small Vehicle. As for the text, there are two parts: first, citing the two verses of the sūtra; next, the treatise's explanation.
