聞法而生歡喜，轉更為他說，故言聞法。問：前云屬彌勒品，今云何屬隨喜品。答：隨喜品初至彌勒問隨喜，依此義亦得稱為彌勒品。若從隨喜義立名稱隨喜，故不相違也。亦可是翻經人謬語也。

Hearing the Dharma and giving rise to joy, one turns to explain it further for others; hence it is called hearing the Dharma. Question: Earlier it was said to belong to the Maitreya Chapter; why does it now belong to the Rejoicing Chapter? Answer: The beginning of the Rejoicing Chapter reaches Maitreya asking about rejoicing; based on this meaning it can also be called the Maitreya Chapter. If its name is established based on the meaning of rejoicing, it is called Rejoicing; thus they do not contradict each other. Alternatively, it may be an erroneous rendering by the translator.
