From "What are the four?" downward, second is citing the sūtra to specifically explain the four kinds of merits, which constitute four distinct sections. In each of them there are three parts: first, stating the name; second, citing the sūtra as proof; third, explaining the sūtra. The words "accomplishment of abiding" state the name.
