These two lines are called the accomplishment of the adornment of the merits of the satisfaction of all aspirations. Why did the Buddha originally arouse this vow? He saw that in some lands, some have high reputations and noble status with no means of living in seclusion, or some are ordinary and vulgar by nature with no way to seek emergence; or length of life depends on karma, beyond one's own control, as in the case of the sage Asita and his kind. With things like this, beings are blown by the wind of karma and cannot attain mastery. Therefore he made the vow: "May my land satisfy wishes according to whatever is sought." Therefore it is said: "Whatever sentient beings wish for and delight in / can all be fully satisfied."
