2.77

Saying 'brief' reveals that the merits of that Pure Land are immeasurable, not merely seventeen kinds. Now, as for Mount Sumeru entering a mustard seed, or a pore containing the great sea: could this be the spiritual power of mountains and seas, or the power of mustard seeds and hairs? That which can make it wondrous simply makes it wondrous. Therefore, although the seventeen kinds are said to benefit others, the meaning of self-benefit can be clearly understood.
