破善者，《華嚴》云「一念瞋心起，百萬障門開。」論云「善法者，自利智慧相故。名聞者，利他善法名稱功德故。」人不喜見，註曰「自他世無可樂果報故」。

Regarding "destroys wholesome dharmas," the Avataṃsaka says: "When a single thought of anger arises, a million obstacle-gates swing open." The treatise says: "'Wholesome dharmas' refers to the characteristics of self-benefiting wisdom. 'Reputation' refers to the renown and virtue of wholesome dharmas that benefit others." Regarding "people take no joy in seeing one," the commentary states: "Because in this world and other worlds there is no pleasurable karmic retribution."
