智慧合惜水，禪定合隄塘，不漏合心不散。論云「示善修功德上上增長故、由禪發智則知世間生滅法相故。」

Wisdom corresponds to cherishing water; meditative absorption corresponds to embankments and ponds; not leaking corresponds to the mind not being scattered. The treatise states: 'It indicates that virtues skillfully cultivated increase ever higher; because wisdom arises from dhyāna, one knows the characteristics of phenomena arising and ceasing in the world.'
