〔補註〕空死而悔有二：一是荒蕪三業全不修行，臨終知墮惡處故悔；一是得少為足未證謂證，臨終知非極果故悔。今疏舉重言之，輕可知矣。

[Supplementary note:] Dying in vain with regrets has two aspects: first, laying waste to the three karmas and entirely failing to cultivate, having regrets when facing death because one knows one will fall into evil destinies; second, being satisfied with little, claiming to have realized what one has not realized, having regrets when facing death because one knows this is not the ultimate fruit. Now the commentary mentions the grave one; the lighter one may be known [by inference].
