[Supplementary note] Master and disciples refers to the gathering and dispersal of a single assembly: there has never been a leader who permanently leads the companions, nor companions who permanently follow the leader. The five aggregates refers to the gathering and dispersal of a single body: for the aggregate of form, the four great elements come together and must separate; for the four [mental] aggregates, deluded thoughts arise and must cease. Therefore it is said: "All things are impermanent."
