〔補註〕無益有二：一者諸佛住世，止為說法利生。法既足矣，故無益。二者佛若久住，則眾生不生難遭之想，故無益。

[Supplementary note] There are two reasons for "no benefit": first, the Buddhas abide in the world only to preach the Dharma and benefit living beings; since the Dharma is already sufficient, there is no benefit. Second, if the Buddha were to abide for a long time, sentient beings would not generate the thought that he is difficult to encounter; hence there is no benefit.
