〔補註〕見身存則悅而不厭故貪生、見身滅則憂而不喜故避死，此愚人所為也；智人反是。

[Supplementary note:] Seeing the body preserved, one rejoices and feels no revulsion, hence clinging to life; seeing the body perish, one grieves and feels no joy, hence fleeing death—this is the conduct of foolish people. Wise people are the opposite.
