1.24

第二對習明寬狹者。無知狹、習氣寬，不染無知必是習氣。有是習氣而非無知，謂無知俱生心、心所法，或相續身所有習氣。

2. Clarifying breadth and narrowness in contrast to habitual residue: ignorance is narrower, habitual residue is broader; non-defiled ignorance is necessarily habitual residue. There are instances that are habitual residues but not ignorance, namely the mind and mental factors arising concurrently with ignorance, or all the habitual residues existing within the bodily continuity.
