「或名有事至傳說如此」者,此有為法亦名有事。事是因義,有為諸法從因生故,名為有事。經部釋事是體,有為有體、無為無體。論主意朋經部,不信事因,故云傳說如此。

Regarding "Or they are called having things ... so it is traditionally explained": these conditioned dharmas are also called "having things" (savastukāḥ). "Thing" (vastu) means cause (hetu); because conditioned dharmas are produced from causes, they are called "having things". The Sautrāntikas explain "thing" as real entity (dravya): conditioned [dharmas] have an entity, while unconditioned [dharmas] lack an entity. The author of the treatise aligns with the Sautrāntika and does not believe that "thing" means cause; hence he says "so it is traditionally explained".
