「未測何相至如無明說」者，外人復難。若異了知，應是眼等。若了知無，應體非有。二過如前。

[On the Kośa's statement:] "If its characteristic has not yet been determined, [how can it be stated as ignorance?]": the interlocutor raises another objection. If it is other than knowing, it should be the eye and so on. If it is the non-existence of knowing, its essence should not exist. These two faults are as before.
