10.73

「行相極似觸依觸而生故」者，答。受之行相極似觸故，所以觸為受所領。如子似父，領父媚好，答前問。此受行相依觸而生故，所以觸為受行相依，答後問。

"Because the mental aspect closely resembles contact, and arises relying on contact" is the reply. Because the mental aspect of sensation closely resembles contact, contact is experienced by sensation; just as a son resembles his father, taking on his father's beauty and goodness—this answers the former question. Because this mental aspect of sensation arises relying on contact, contact serves as the basis for sensation's mental aspect—this answers the latter question.
