10.94

「謂或有時至同緣一境」者，毘婆沙師出過。如一觸緣色、一觸緣聲，故言或有二觸境別。因前念緣色受位觸，生後念緣聲觸位受，如何異境受從異境觸生？或應許受與此緣聲心相應，非與此心同緣一聲境，以從異境觸生故。應與前念緣色之觸同緣色境。

Regarding "That is, sometimes … taking the same object": the master of the Vibhāṣā points out the fault. For instance, one contact takes visible form as its object, and another contact takes sound as its object; therefore it is said that sometimes two contacts have different objects. Because the contact at the stage of feeling in the prior moment that takes visible form produces the feeling at the stage of contact in the subsequent moment that takes sound, how could a feeling of a different object arise from a contact of a different object? Or it should be admitted that feeling is associated with this mind that takes sound as its object, but does not take the single sound-object together with this mind, because it arises from a contact of a different object. It should take the visible-form object together with the contact of the prior moment that took visible form.
